Company History
Thermal Reserve LLC is a startup firm founded by Richard Weinberg based on the premise that renewable energy is affordable, reliable, and a very positive step towards energy independence.
Richard became familiar with Solar Energy systems while studying Architecture at Rhode Island School of Design. The 1970’s oil crisis focused much of the curriculum to alternative energy, from which Richard learned about many renewable systems such as geothermal heating. Thermal Reserve is drawing upon 25 years of construction, estimating and project scheduling experience from Development Services, a consulting firm started by Richard in 1985.
In 2009, Thermal Reserve LLC became a reseller and distributor of the China-based SEA Groups Company, whose solar product line and support has been a contributing factor to our solar expertise. In April 2009, we partnered with Rickman Group to provide a basis for solid development, funding and market acceptance. This partnership, along with that of SEA Groups, has poised Thermal Reserve LLC to be a leader in packaged Solar Thermal Energy Systems. We now sell Westech Solar, Caymeo and Consol solar products.
Today we are reselling systems from four different vacuum tube manufacturers and are expanding our services to include Solar Simulation and Thermal Solar System consulting.
